Our History

Established by Laurence Chandler FCA a local Justice of the Peace (JP) of 22 years and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant England and Wales.

The Practice started at home in 1960 before becoming a full time Practice in 1973 subsequently moving to office premises in central Kingston, Surrey.

In the 1990s the Practice Laurence Chandler & Co moved to 35a Victoria Road in Surbiton.

Quantrell Ltd was established in 1995 by Les Bushby and Dixie Quantrell as business partners who wanted to provide a friendly and efficient service to individuals and small businesses in an informal but professional environment. Based in New Malden High Street. Prior to this both Les and Dixie worked in the finance department of a large corporation for many years gaining valuable experience in the fields of accountancy, taxation, credit control, payroll etc.

In May 2002 following sales negotiations by Tony Whorms FCCA, Laurence Chandler & Co was acquired by the partnership Laurence Chandler Associates.

Laurence Chandler Associates became regulated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

The Practice became fully computerised, developing its own website!! and introducing its own clients' accounting diaries.

Online accounting was introduced and the Practice started taking payments by credit card!!

In June 2009 the Crystal Palace office was opened. Numerous additional clients were added to the Practice's portfolio.

In early 2012 after 10 years of "new" management the Practice was reorganised, re-launched and re branded resulting in the formation of Anthony Chandler Associates.

During 2012 and 2016 new additional staff were added to the Accountancy and Tax Team. and the Crystal Palace Office moves to a new location at South Norwood Lakes.

In September 2016 Tony Whorms became a director of Quantrell and both firms agreed to form working partnership. The combined Practices now have Accountancy offices in New Malden, Surbiton and Norwood.
